We stand with families by their child’s hospital bedside
Be The Light CIC exists to ensure that no parent or carer ever feels alone, unseen, or unsupported during prolonged hospital stays. We provide practical help, emotional support, and hope.

Our mission
We bring light into the darkest of times.
Be The Light CIC exists to ensure no parent or carer feels alone while their child is in hospital. Through lived experience, compassionate support, and sustainable partnerships, we empower families, workplaces, and communities to stand together. With the consent of the CIC Regulator, 40% of our surplus profits are donated to Amelia’s Light — providing direct financial and emotional support for families when they need it most.

Listen
We start by listening to families, communities, and partners – understanding needs and experiences at the heart of hospital life.
Support
Through talks, training, and Amelia’s Light, we provide practical tools, emotional support, and financial help where it’s needed most.
Sustain
We build lasting partnerships with organisations and communities, creating sustainable change that keeps families supported for the long term.
“I started Be The Light because no parent should ever feel invisible while sitting by their child’s hospital bed. This is about turning our family’s experience into hope and support for others.”
